I have been using Airmail (@airmailer) for a couple of years now, and have been running under macOS 12 Monterey for 3 or 4 months.

My workflow for spam was to press ⌘7 to see the Spam folder and ⌃⌥⌘⌫ to delete all emails. Similarly, I would use ⌘5 to view my Bin folder and use ⌃⌥⌘⌫, again, to delete all files.

This all worked until I upgraded my machine from macOS 12.2 to 12.3. Now, the ⌃⌥⌘⌫ shortcut is not working on either folder.

It seems strange because I don't see why a point upgrade to the OS would change the functionality of an app. The thing that makes it worse is that I contacted Airmailapp.com via their chat system only to be told that the "Delete All" shortcut never existed.

Firstly, can someone confirm my findings and then maybe suggest a possible remedy?

The problem, as it turned out, was that since the upgrade to macOS 12.3, one has to hold down the ⌃⌥⌘⌫ shortcut for the best part of a second before the messages are deleted, whereas it was instant before. Strange, but there we are ???
