Assuming the OP means Boxee box the answer is no. You need an ATV2.

Bear in mind Mountain Lion will support AirPlay mirroring anyways.

AirParrot requires an ATV2. Boxee will not work.

And Mountain Lion offerins mirroring, but not desktop extension. Mountain Lion also does not support full screen mode for mirroring. AirParrot does!
