Hello everyone. I plan to fly on an airplane in 2 months. The last time I flew on an airplane was back in 2000; before I-Phones. My question is what does the Airplane Mode on the iPhone do and should I turn it on once in the air? I have an I-Phone 14 Pro. Thank you in advance.

Crew will tell you when to turn on airplane mode. Just bring down the control panel and hit the button. The rules are more relaxed since 2000. You can use/hold your phone and listen through either wired or wireless speakers.

You can also switch on WiFi when in Airplane Mode (assuming you may want in-flight WiFi). Turning on Airplane Mode will switch off WiFi, but just turn it back on (WiFi) in the Settings app. Airplane Mode will still remain on until you turn Airplane Mode off.
