I have an AppleTV setup of AppleTV->HDMI->Home Theater setup via HDMI-CEC and recently (10.4) it seems that it defaults to only AirPlay 2 via my Sonos speakers around the house rather then the speakers directly connected to my home theater (Meaning I have audio every where but my actual room with the AppleTV).

Whenever I wake-up my AppleTV (which wakes up my home theater) I have to manually go in, unselect all the Sonos speakers around my house and then re-select itself so it will use my actual home theater speakers.

This seems like a recent bug? I've never had to do this before. Everything is connected via Home, so unsure if I have to take out and re-add my AppleTV via the Home app?

I can't find it now, but I think it's a new feature.
I think I saw something about an update making airplay speakers used as the default work a bit better. don't remember if it's a current update, or something coming in the future

check in the main settings app to what you have selected.

look at "HomePods now play well with AppleTV" in this forum, although only one post is kinda new.

Ha it seems I have the reverse of that issue, meaning I don't want it to play to my Airplay speakers. I've never gone into output and intentionally selected them. It also wasn't my HomePods but only Sonos speakers.

I pulled the plug and did a hard reset so it hasn't seem to be doing it in a few starts. Fingers crossed....
