Airplay 2 work on LG Electronics OLED65B8PUA 65" 2018

Hi there,

I apologize if this is posted in the wrong place. However, I was looking into purchasing an OLED TV and this one seems to be the only one in my budget. I do really want the Airplay 2 functionality. At one point I read that airplay 2 was coming to all "past and present AI thinQ televisions". Did this ever happen? Can anyone confirm how the functionality is on this older model?

There have been reports that the Apple TV app is coming to some 2018 LG TVs. I haven't seen any reference to AirPlay 2 support. I'm wondering if that is not possible due to hardware issues ...

Airplay is only available on models from 2019 or later. The B8 does not have Airplay, you need at least the B9 model.
