Hello,

I have a problem with my ethernet card AQC107 (Hub Thunderbolt Pro Dock OWC) I can not use it with Airplay, both on my HC amplifier and my Homepod, I noticed that this chipset is known to have this problem for years, I read and not necessarily well understood that it also posed problems on the Hackintosh, that the same chipset is on the Mac mini 2018 (optional) and a priori does not pose a problem.

I don't know if this helps but I can provide a system report.

I hope to find a solution to this problem by flashing the firmware of this Mac mini or another functional one, if someone has an idea (go know purely software), can provide me the firmware of the Mac mini!?

I have the chance to have at home a thunderbolt machine under Windows, I don't know how it is hardware wise, but I also have an external flashing module.

Thank you. :)

Edit: this hub is connected to my MacBook Pro 16" 2023, the Mac Studio has a newer version of this chipset (AQC113) and does not cause any problem either.

Hello,

Thanks for your answer. ;)

Same answer as OCW concerning "the Air" of Airplay, I confess that I don't understand why? o_O I've been using Airplay for at least 12 years, and on my old HC amp there was only ethernet and I didn't use for years the wifi of my machines (I disabled it on my iMac 2011 and my Mac mini of 2006).

No TCP and UDP problems with my machine and no more with the others. :)

I'm talking specifically about the 10GbE AQC107 card and/or chipset that is at fault, I'm sure it's not coming from anything else, I've looked and investigated enough for that. 😅

I had the same problem for years and one day it worked. And i d'ont know why. (i know, the comment is useless)
