Hi,
I am running into some issues when I try to run both my Mac firewall on my new Mac Mini and Airplay. It won't allow me to connect to airplay when the mac firewall is on (OSX Lion). Anyone able to work around this? Works fine when i turn the firewall off.
 
That' why I have a hardware firewall at my front door, where the Internet router is. Is the Internet we're protecting against, not against each other while INSIDE the house. Configure one device, once, not multiple devices. Recommended.

Agree with MrBobb about not using software firewall, but if your network config makes that an unattractive option - a quick Google came up with this list of ports (I can't speak to its accuracy):
