Hi

Error message when streaming audio to HomePod 2 device:

AirPlay blocked: Lockdown Mode is preventing AirPlay connections to your Mac. You can manage Lockdown Mode in Privacy & Security settings.
I don't wish to disable Lockdown Mode.
How-To stream to HomePod 2? Is there a workaround?

Searching the error message in Web doesn't find nothing.

I'm not familiar with lockdown mode, but a quick google seems to indicate that it severely restricts access to airplay devices. Wouldn't a workaround be considered a security vulnerability?

Maybe disable lockdown, establish the connection, then re-enable lockdown, see if that works.

Lockdown mode is not intended for normal everyday use. Limitations like this one are expected when Lockdown mode is activated.

It should’t be “expected”. It should be precisely mentioned in the documentation you linked, in the message displayed when activating Lockdown Mode on macOS and in the Apple Platform Security guide https://support.apple.com/guide/security/lockdown-mode-security-sec2437264f0/1/web/1

The workaround is to obtain a secondary device to control your HomePod with, containing none of the accounts and content you're protecting on your primary device with Lockdown Mode enabled.
