AirPlay Display seems broken after upgrading OS

After installing Yosemite in the beginning there was no problem but after few days of using it the AirPlay Display no longer works and the icon no longer shows up, I have a mid-2011 iMac and never had a problem when my OS was Maverick and I know my iMac is compatible for AirPlay Display.


Please let me know if there is a solution to this or is this one of the many glitches.
