I use AirPlay from my 2018 MacBook Pro to extend my screen to TVs connected to Apple TV 4K boxes in my house for a second screen for developer documentation while I'm coding on my laptop display. This works really well for me.

I'm looking to upgrade to an M1 based MacBook Pro, and I just wanted to see if anyone here has tried extending their display via AirPlay on an M1 based MacBook Air/Pro.
