AirPlay in iOS 4.2

Once you enable AirPlay, all sound will transfer over, including game sound effects (Real Racing, Angry Birds, All)

well do you have an apply tv or airport express, are they on and on the network? icon only appears when it detects a compatible device

I believe you need 10.6.5 for these features. I have 10.6.5 and am able to print and use airplay from my iPad and iPhone running 4.2 to my apple TV and airport express. However, I can stream a videos audio to my apple tv 2 but the video is not appearing on my tv, only my iPad. I've searched the iOS developer forum and there's nothing in terms of help. Anyone know why this may be? Perhaps video streaming will not be allowing as I am running the official releases to the public. Very odd.

It is like this for everyone. Most likely we are waiting for an Apple TV software update.

New Apple TV, Airport Express or an AirPlay Enabled speaker docks, AV receivers, or stereo systems.
