Airplay is true 4k now? Or still 1080 on New Apple TV?

I use 6 older 4k Apple TVs. They only stream from my mac book pro 16 at 1080 due to Air Play limits.

I have gigabit fiber. I have the fastest wifi. Does this NEW Apple TV actually stream screen sharing at higher than 1080?
