I am using a 2011 mini, 2.3Ghz, so it has the HD3000 integrated graphics.
My AppleTV is the recent 1080p version.
My LAN is all Cat6a wiring, jacks, switches - it is solid.
I did some playing around last night, with VLC playing back an ISO from a Blu-ray rip. It plays very smoothly on the desktop, but has slight, occasional stuttering on the HDTV.
Care to guess if it is the weak graphics of the mini? Or the full-bore 30+Mbps Blu-ray stream overloading the single-core A5 in the AppleTV?
Are there any tweaks I can do to the mini, VLC, or the AppleTV to try and reduce the stuttering?
