airplay not working on slow motion videos

as above, a normal video will work on my apple tv via my 5S but a slow motion video will not? any idea as to why and a fix?

No and I just discovered this tonight. As a workaround I uploaded to YouTube and then played the video in the YouTube app on the phone with AirPlay mirroring. I suppose I could have fired up the YouTube client on ATV.

This may sound stupid, but do this:

iMessage the video to yourself.

Open the video in the messages app and airplay it from here.


This seems to be the only way to export videos keeping the slow motion intact, however it will degrade the quality slightly.
