We've seen multiple reports now that AirPlay on iPad using iOS 4.2 Beta works with existing Airport Express devices; in other words it's apparently backwards compatible with the AirTunes protocol. My question: does this mean you'll also be able to stream audio to the OLD Apple TV? I understand of course that only the new one will support video and photo streaming from iOS, but at the very least can you stream audio from an iPhone or iPad to the original ATV? I can't imagine why not but you never know with Apple.
