Airplay on iPhone 5 Questions

Am I correct that the only way to airplay mirror whats on my iPhone 5 to my new macbook air is buying a program like air display from the app store? There is not a free way to air play my phone to my macbook air like you can with the apple tv correct?

That is correct. I know some apps have a free trial before you buy it. Apple needs to implement this in the next OS X. Streaming from iPhone to your Mac, and vice versa.
