AirPlay or Adapter

I want to stream movies off of my iPad to my TV, do I wait for the new Apple TV and use AirPlay if it's available or do I buy the Adapter?
Thanks.
 
Adapter and play it via HDMI
AP is worse than rubbish and you get lags with voice and picture sync issues.
