As per title, I'm a macbook pro running OSX Sierra. I've recently noticed that when I alt-click on the speaker, I no longer get the option of my Denon AVR-X2000. The Denon still works fine from other devices (android phone, iOS12 devices), but I can't see why my mac appears to no longer see the AVR-X2000.

I'm struggling to find any solutions/tests online. Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance,
Robert

You say it works fine from iOS 12. Are you using the Music app? Does the receiver show up in the list of Airplay speakers when you tap the Airplay icon in the Music app? Or are you using a bluetooth connection or between the iOS device and the receiver?

The latter would work even if your receiver is not connected to your local network (usually a WiFi connection), while Airplay does require that network connection. You can verify that the Denon is on your local network by bringing up its Setup Menu, then pick Network, then Diagnostics.

(I've got a Denon AVR-5910W (2015) that has always showed in all lists of Airplay speakers, under both El Capitan and High Sierrra.)

For example, under iOS when I use Music, Spottify, BBCNews etc when I click play, I can then choose a wifi speaker. It's not a 'bluetooth' option (my reciever does not have that)...

I've checked and the Denon is on the local network....
