My apologies if this has been dealt with in a different thread. I did a search but didn't find my problem described.

I just bought a new AirPort Express to replace a 3-year-old model. This new one seems to have problems, and I wondered if it might be something about the way I've got it configured, or perhaps it's a known issue.

When I try to use AirPlay from my MacBook laptop (2-years-old) the playback stutters every 30 seconds or so. The sound will stop for about 2 seconds. Then the sound continues again where it left off, and then jumps ahead a couple of seconds, which I am assuming is something due to buffering.

I also notice when I watch YouTube videos on both my MacBook and my newish iMac that the video loads in a bit at a time. I can see the progress bar that tells me it's loading will advance for a few seconds, then stop, then proceed again. I know that all WiFi connections will do this from time to time, but this happens all the time, and didn't happen until I got this new Express.

The security is WPA2 Personal, if that's important.

Any thoughts?
