I've read online in multiple places that the Series 3 Apple Watch should be able to send music directly to the Apple TV (but not AirPlay Speakers) via AirPlay but I don't see my Apple TVs show up on the AirPlay menus (I only see my AirPods as an option).

I know that before watchOS 4 it would only do this if you were remote controlling your iPhone as a source, but that has been removed. I'm talking about being able to send music stored on the watch or via Apple Music to an Apple TV without using an iPhone as an intermediary.

Is this a feature of AirPlay 2 that isn't implemented yet? Will it even be implemented then? Or is there something wrong with my setup that the AirPlay targets are not showing up?

Cool, I hope so - just wanted to make sure I wasn't doing something wrong on my end.

I think the articles I read were from before everyone realized AirPlay 2 wasn't live yet.
