Airplay to iTunes - why not? [Maybe in iOS 5.0?]

With the improvements to Airplay in iOS 4.3, it appears that we still can only Airplay with AppleTV and other licensed products.

But why not be able to do this with iTunes on any computer on the same network? iTunes should certainly be able to wirelessly playback any incoming video and it's on just about every Mac and PC out there.

Similarly, I wish that video mirroring worked this way as well, preferably wirelessly to boot.

Anyhow, just a thought.
