Amazon today is discounting a collection of Apple's AirPods, including the AirPods 2, AirPods 3, and AirPods Pro 2 with USB-C. All of these deals represent the best prices we've tracked since Prime Day, and are overall solid second-best prices on most models.

The AirPods 2 is available for $69.99, down from $129.00, and the AirPods 3 is on sale for $129.99, down from $169.00. Amazon also has the AirPods Pro 2 with USB-C for $179.99, down from $249.00. The AirPods 2 deal is a match for the all-time low price, while the other two are just about $10 higher than their previous record low prices.

Why are all these deals always limited to Amazon USA?

The text in the article below the image tells us why:

Costco and others routinely match (and sometimes beat) the Amazon deals. But MacRumors has a financial incentive to only publish the Amazon deals (and be "blind" to everything else). Can't fault them for that, but you do have to take the "record low price" indication with a grain of salt.

And yet Amazon in the UK is still charging more for the AirPods 3rd generation than Amazon in the US is selling the AirPods Pros for...

Why would anyone buy them at full price from Apple they always seem to be on sale plus amazon kicks back some to this site. Do they lose money selling them?

Overall are the 2's a good deal or the pro 2/s or 3s? I dont have any ear pods so would be interested in opinions on them.

Ya but even if it wasn't for pushing Amazon USA links -- the deal itself isn't available on Amazon Canada or anywhere else. So it's not just a matter of sponsorship.

I can’t speak for anything past AirPods 1 - 2 but, I know my 2’s are a step down for me in sound and comfort from the AirPod 1.

Are these new because the only “discounted” ones on the uk site are “renewed” so basically second hand with probably not a huge amount of battery life in them

Gave my old AirPods to my friend, he informed me today that he lost both buds.
Time for me to upgrade and give them some old stuff again. :p
