So I just picked up a pair of Airpods 2 and to me it is crazy how much better the sound quality is compared to the OG Airpods, my question is how much better are the APP vs the Airpods 2 (with ANC turned off)

There should be no perceptible difference in sound quality between airpods 1 and 2. Now the pros do have improved clarity and bass than gen 1/2 but it’s not jaw dropping by any means. But definitely noticeable. But then again sound is very subjective. There are people on the forum saying they hear no difference but many who do. Either way at the very least you will definitely hear more bass but it’s not overpowering

The difference between 2 and Pro isn't groundbreaking. I was actually underwhelmed. What helps though is the in-ear fit which makes sounds clearer in and of itself. That being said, listening to both in a quiet room would yield almost the same result. ANC though, is very much worth the additional $50 asking price when I tested it while traveling.

Nope, there is a huge difference IMO between AP1 and AP2
