AirPods 4 ANC always showing in battery widget?

I noticed even when I’m not using the AirPods 4 that they show up in my battery widget on iPhone. Is this normal for everyone else?

They stay there permanently it seems.

it's normal, the newer versions do that.

you still need to be in bluetooth range though, so if you leave them at home, it will go away.

makes sense. I guess I find it weird that they always stay in the battery widget, even though I’m not using them for hours.
