Apple's AirPods 4 have dropped to $79.99 today at Best Buy and Amazon, down from $129.00. This is now the best price we've ever tracked on the base AirPods 4 model, which lacks Active Noise Cancellation.

The AirPods 4 with ANC is a great price if you like open ear buds. The ANC is impressive.

Wasn't the Airpods Pro 3 price down to around $180-190, for a Labor Day sale? Maybe? Or am I making this up?

how are the AirPod 4 w/ anc? still have the pro 1 but its the only device i still have with lightning and want to ditch it.

Just get the Pro 2 with USB-C. They can be found for around 160 bucks. The 4’s have come down in price because they’re not worth a cent more than that if even that much. And especially the version without ANC is useless. Adaptive ANC reduces loud noises wherever you are and makes it easier to hear whatever it is you’re listening to. I would never use headphones without any ANC outside. That being said, the 4 with ANC can be an alternative if you for whatever reason absolutely don’t want to get the Pro 2 or Pro 3 like if they fall out of your ear or are uncomfortable. I’d try the Pro 2 first and return them for the 4 if necessary.
