AirPods 4 poor voice quality wired EarPods better

Voice calls one the wit=red USB EarPods is better than on my Airpods4 - why ? do others find this ?

Is there any device I could use to stop the wire tangle of the EarPods

Wired will always be better, same thing with the mics on even the cheapest earbuds. Just the way it is when you factor in latency, codecs, frequency, etc.

I’m guessing you’re talking about the audio quality the other person hears. If I remember right old-school wired EarPods have a mic that hangs down. That gives it a significant advantage to a mic by your ear.

AirPods are okay for phone calls, but if you’re on the phone a lot, better options are out there. There are specific Bluetooth headsets for phone calls. They usually have a speaker for one ear and a boom mic to pick up voice much clearer. Also the speaker is going to be made for voice instead of music. If you ever go to a truckstop, you’ll see truckers wearing them.

Thanks. yes it’s the cheap Apple wired ones with usb used on iphone 16 and it’s the other person who has the poor audio. inca hear them ok
Any idea if there is any device i can keep them in to stop having to untangle them most times ?
