I recently went on a vacation and shot some videos with my video camera. Downloaded the .mp4 files and they play fine in QuickTime, with audio through the speakers on my M1 Macbook Pro. If I connect my Airpods Pro 2's, and then open the same videos, QuickTime crashes with the spinning beach ball as soon as I try to play one...I can then reopen QuickTime, which reopens the last file I had open, and then they will play fine with audio through the Airpods. Tried a few other videos, in .mov format and it will do the same thing. Audio plays fine through speakers but as soon as I connect my Airpods, and open the same files I just had open, they crash. Reopen quicktime and then they will play and audio through the Airpods...
As a test, I also have a Sony headset which is connected via bluetooth, and using those, any video I play opens and I get audio with no issues...Any idea on why the Airpods are crashing Quicktime, but a standard bluetooth headset doesn't???
