Airpods disconnecting when on call. Any suggestions?

Hi, off-late i am having very frequent Airpods connectivity drop when attending a phone call.

Not sure when it started but, its very frequent now. They work perfectly fine when I am listening to music but, happens only during phone calls.

I have tried re-paring with the phone and it hasn't helped. any one facing such issues and any suggestions to help my situation ?

Device Information : Airpods with wireless charging case, iPhone 12
