Curious to see if anyone else is having issues with their Studio Display not passing the audio off to the selected Sound Output device in the Sound settings. I have a 16" M1 Max connected to my Studio Display, and after the update the Studio Display refuses to give up ownership of the audio. Here's an example:
We use Slack for our organization and often use the Slack Call and Huddle features to meet with each other.
Prior to 15.5, when I used my AirPods (any model, I have the Pro and Max models, both have the same issue), the system sound settings would output to the AirPods as they're supposed to.
Now, with the 15.5 update, the AirPods APPEAR as the selected sound output item (they are both highlighted in the menu bar drop down, as well as showing the little AirPods icon in the menu bar), but the audio continues going through the Studio Display. No amount of switching back and forth gets the audio to come out of the selected item.
Anyone else having weird audio routing behaviors after updating their Studio Display? Definitely intriguing and the first moment I've had a "why couldn't they just make a normal dumb display that doesn't make decisions on its own" moment.
Any ideas?
