Airpods having connection issues

I have first gen airpods and recently they started to have issues. when I take them out to connect only the left connects and the right has an error displayed. then sometimes the case light is green but flashes like when it's supposed to be white and when that happens the airpods connection slide doesn't appear on my phone and only the left one connects and the case and right isn't even shown on the batteries nor the system. I have tried resetting them but they don't want to reset, the light just flashes white. I have an iPhone 7 that's almost new and is updated to the latest IOS update.

I also have an iPhone 7 & gen1 AirPods, I also get connection problems tried resetting Bluetooth connection many times.....the thing that resolves this is a phone reset until the problem comes back. I will add I’ve got a fossil android watch when worn I think it happens more, as when Im wearing Apple Watch ⌚️ it seems to happen a lot less if ever.
