Just got my wife AirPods and we are both happy with them overall. Easy pairing with iPhone and MacBook. On the MacBook running Sierra 10.12.6, Spotify audio works fine. YouTube via Safari also works, pauses when you take them out of your ear and plays when you put them back in.

But she was trying to watch Comcast Xfinity TV using Safari and no matter what we do, the audio plays from the computer's speakers. We can switch right back to YouTube in another tab or the Spotify app and it plays over the AirPods like normal.

Anyone else had a similar problem? Suggestions please.

Sounds like an issue with the streaming site rather than your computer, not a lot anyone can do about third party coding and how it integrates with audio on your mac.

Yes, I realize that and it's Comcast so I'm not surprised that it sucks. Nevertheless, it's something she uses to watch content and that's why I got her the AirPods so I'm still wondering if anyone has any idea about how to fix it.

I have this SAME problem with HBO live.
