AirPods Pro 2 were twenty dollars less last year.
Yep. Picked up a set of AirPod Pros last year for about $150. They were cheaper than the noise canceling AirPods at the time, which I was also considering because I wasn't sure I'd like the rubber thingy, but I did want noise canceling. The rubber thingy is livable, but doesn't feel as good as the previous set of AirPods - which I somehow managed to lose.

That’s what I’m waiting for. Still using my AirPods Pro 1, can’t justify buying the 2s after they have been out for so long.
Same here. My left APP1 was making a static noise for a few seconds whenever i put it i my ear and I constantly had to clean those air vents unless I wanted to hear a short static crack at every bump. Then yesterday, I left them at a sports game - slipped out of my pocket while I was sitting in a deck chair - damn that smooth egg-shape. Someone took them, hopefully to bring them to the lost and found office - or it's back to earpods for the next three months.

I hope the case gets a better design. If it falls down just right, it opens up and the airpods shoot out of it before it closes again. That's how I lost my first APPs. They fell out of my pocket while I got my keys. I picked up the case without looking inside and went my ways, only to notice a few hours later that it was empty.

I ordered a new set because I accidentally left mine in my pocket and they went through an extended wash cycle. The case still lights up, but it’s gonna take days for that pair to dry out properly…

I never really got the AirPods Pro 2 because other than new features, it's not that much of a jump in terms of sound quality compared to the original AirPods Pro. I ended up getting the Beats Studio Buds+, which are actually quite good for things like listening to podcasts (where the sound quality is not so critical).
