if they allow AppleAI in the EU, they would need to open it to outside developers because of the DMA. Meaning they would need to allow any developer to access all of the stuff that apple AI has access to in your personal account.

so translation is blocked because of "no AppleAI in the EU." It's not directly related to translation.
