Typically Apple products that are pre-ordered for launch day will show “preparing to ship” until the day before OR sometimes even the day of…but they’ll arrive on time. Don’t be shocked if you don’t get any shipping notification until Friday morning 🤣

This is the correct answer, sort of. Most times, there is no shipping. For phones, the units are already in local warehouses waiting to be delivered, having been shipped well before even the keynote. The tracking isn’t really real as Apple has really strict policies on holding packages till the big day.

This is why some units are always delivered early, just days after the big reveal.

Trust me, millions of iPhones aren’t being shipping from China the day before they are set for delivery!

Funny enough, UPS is showing them shipping from Inglewood, Ontario, Canada. My guess is that it’s Inglewood, California.

Because UPS doesn’t have anything remotely warehouse-related in Inglewood/Caledon, Ontario.

My iPhone, AirPods, and Ultra 3 are also all coming from Inglewood, ON. I'm also in Canada though.

Nevermind. Apparently there is a UPS warehouse in Caledon:Inglewood on Dixie.

My order still says shipping to store but apple has had issue collecting money from Klarna this morning who have since cancelled their end.
Called Apple who said they’ve referred to payments team to see if they can resolve but looking unlikely.

as I’ve written this, order has just changed to ready to pickup. Are they now free?! Haha
