I noticed that I get no volume control over my AirPods Pro after updating to TvOS 15. The volume bar moves up and down but they don’t get louder or softer. Luckily the level is at a decent place but it would be nice to have some control back! Anyone else have this issue?

Works great on my Apple TV 4K 2021. When you get the volume bar to move up and down using the remote does it show an AirPods Pro icon in the volume slider?

Open the remote on your phone and then the volume buttons on the phone will work.

Yes, although it seems to be working now? Last night I was watching Foundation with my Pros in and there was a loud blast of sound and then volume control worked. Seemed to also work in Fitness+ now, too. No idea what caused the problem or really what fixed it, but thanks for the pointers.

Good luck, gmanist1000, wish this thread was more helpful! If it happens again or if I come up with an actual fix I'll post.

Welp, happened again in Fitness+ this morning! I tried using the remote app on my phone, the volume buttons do indeed change the volume bar on screen but they do not change the actual volume on the Airpods—full volume and lowest volume sound the same.

What did work, again, was playing part of a Foundation episode. Weird.

What I think is happening is some audio content is causing a bug with my AirPods Pro (obviously) but playing a proper Atmos audio (not sure if Atmos/Spacial Audio music tracks will do it) resets the state of the AirPods and the start interpreting audio correctly again.

If it happens again, I’ll try “fixing” it with different audio sources and report back. Hope this helps someone else and whatever is causing this gets fixed in the next update!
