There & Back Again
Its time to get a new pair of wireless headphones. I was looking at the Bose Sport models until the apple ones came out yesterday.

I'll use it to ride my bike and go on walks, and also for gaming if I can.

What do you think the chances of getting these working with a PS4?

It's hard to say. I think we will know more when released. But at this point, I think it's very possible. I am also considering picking these up, once I watch a few reviews. You could always contact Sony and see what they think.

I didn't know Sony would even bother responding.

Gotta sell my Bose QC15's and then wait for some reviews to come in...

I'd venture a guess and say no. My guess is just based on the obvious odds (bluetooth headsets that work:bluetooth headsets available). I'm guessing their is some sort of licensing fee required via Sony??

Its annoying to have 6 different bluetooth headsets in my house all of which are better then Sony's included 3.5mm headset and none of which work. Oh and the Apple 3.5mm EarPods don't work.....sigh.

Apologies for Post-bumping, but I believe that this is still a relevant query that is yet to be answered since the airpods have only just been released.

Can someone answer this?

Yeah I'd still like to know. The apple website says no on the customer questions section.

I'm hoping if I get these they replace everything and I just have one set of headphones...

I think it's a restriction of Sonys. Like I mentioned, I have a few random Bluetooth headsets, Plantronic, Samsung and Motorola. None of them work with the PS4.

I have a super cheap Motorola Bluetooth cell phone headset and they worked.

Screw it! I'm ordering a pair.

What's the model? On my PS3 I believe it worked but not on my PS4....I guess they could be broken.

Let us know if it works asap, that would definitely make me get a set.

Haha I'll let you know in 6 weeks when I can actually get a pair!

I ordered them last night...

They don't work unfortunately. Sonys doing, not apple. If you find a Bluetooth dongle you might be able to get it to work though. I tried this with a different Bluetooth headset long before the AirPods were announced...looked into why they wouldn't pair. It's sonys doing. Even the wireless turtle beach headsets, meant for the system, require a dongle to work.

Haha might as well get a dongle, it would go nice with the dongles I'll need for the updated MBP's...
