I know I heard that Apple will release a wireless charger for AirPods in December. Has anyone heard any updates to this? Would be nice to charge it on my wireless charger.

No. There has been no other updates. Perhaps when Apple updates their website when the iMac Pro becomes available for sale shortly, then they will also update the new AirPod wireless battery case.

The OP knows that. What they said was they "heard" that the AirPods battery charging case was slated to release in December. And that is actually accurate based other sources reporting this rumor, but we don't know if those sources are true.
