Airport 802.11ac Extension

hi. I have the new AirPort Extreme which provides 802.11ac. I then hard wire to an old AirPort Extreme which does not carry 802.11ac and use this hub to wirelessly connect to my Mac. Question is does the old extreme retain the 802.11ac signal or do I need to buy the newer version.

Nope, because you're basically asking it to operate on a standard that it knows nothing about it, i.e., it predates the standard.

No. Older Extremes would only provide a wireless N signal.
