Airport/AirTunes & Linksys router - will it work?

I'm trying to figure out if I can use the Airport Express/Airtunes router from Apple with an existing Linksys WRT54G wireless router. In looking at the reviews on the Apple website, as well as the info on the AE, it appears it will function as a range expander and allow me to broadcast iTunes through my stereo while using my existing Linksys setup. Has anyone done actually tried this? If so, any problems with setting it up? Thanks.
