Airport and PCs

I'm planning on buying a new Powerbook along with an Airport station to connect to my DSL line.

My question is whether my wife will be able to use her PC laptop to connect to this wireless network.

Yes, the base station is broadcasting a network just like any other wireless router. I have a powerbook, powermac and dell laptop connected to mine right now.

Everything works peachy creamy.... no problem at all, i have 3 PCs and 1 mac connected to 3 airport extreme basestations.

No problem, untill you connect an ethernet cable to a base station, and connect it directly to an other PC, then for some reason the AE become unstable and crash every now and then, without that, it's all fine and dandy
