Hello gang, Im running into a little debate here before i go forward and buy my Airport Extremne base station. I currently have a linksys wireless router which i want to substitue with the Airport base station. However, i have the following questions:

1. What are the advantages in connecting the Airport Extreme base station into an open port in back of my linksys router? will they work in conjuction? and why would i do that instead of connecting straight to my computer?

2. How do i get my Airport express to expand the signal once i connect the airport Base station?

I would appreciate any response and tips you guys can throw my way.

many thanks

None that I can think of. Is the Linksys also a modem? If your modem is a separate piece of equipment, then lose the Linksys because it'll only complicate matters. :)

You set the Express up to use WDS. I'm pretty sure this'll slow your network speed down to 802.11G standards (actually only half that because there are two routers) though. Nevertheless, it's very easy to configure.
