Airport Base Station goes to sleep

i have a little issue someone may be able to help me with.

I have a airport extreme base
connected to adsl

works great.

but

after some time of now use (say 2 or 3 hours not online)
the airport seams to fall asleep (not the adsl connection)
i have to restart it to get it to work (either power or remote restart)
( have a old graphite airport base and i have used it - and it does not do the same thing?)

would you know how to solve this?

I used to have this same problem on my network. Do you by any chance have another router on your network. I had my modem connected to a wired Netgear router, and that router served 2 comps and the Airport Express. They would kick each other offline every few hours, so I had to get rid of the Netgear.
