hello,

I can't get my airport card to work any longer on my first generation MacBook Pro.

I am not sure if it is a hardware or a software issue however...

...the airport has a check next to my wireless network, however an exclamation mark in the menu bar ontop of the airport reception icon. It reads "Alert: No internet Connection" in the airport menu...

...I tried logging into a new account to see if it was a user setting, but same thing.

Do i need a new airport card?
Where do I get one?

thanks,
r.

or is there a way to run a diagnostic on the airport card???

anyone?

thanks,

r.

...and i just realized that in bootcamp i do indeed get wireless! how strange!

so it is something about my snow leopard installation that is foiling my airport?

how do i fix it?

in osx i tried using a fresh user account and still it didn't work...

r.

Try and renew the DHCP lease and make sure you get an IP address from your router.

DHCP lease renewal is in network settings for your wireless connection.
