Airport BTO vs. Self-Install Difference?

Is there a difference between having apple install the airport card and buying it afterwards and installing yourself?

ie.
Antenna port?
Signal strength?

No difference. The antenna is already in there. You or Apple just installed the card.

Notes:
1) All notebooks come standard with built in airport cards.
2) You may have to get apple to put on in a mini (I hear its hard to do yourself)

What kind of Mac do you have? I think some are easier to install then others...

Just ordered a dual 2.3. Opted fer the 9650 and added bluetooth but not the airport.

It should be simple to install!

Is it too late to change your order?

The only difference on tha system could be price (BT+Airport is discounted a bit) and also, if you buy AppleCare, it only covers what was bought with the machine.
