Hey guys, my friend just bought a new MacBook pro and sold me his old one for 500.

It's the late 2008 Unibody model with the 15 inch screen and 2.4 proc.

He had a hdd in a DVD drive caddy and he put the DVD drive back in for me. Stupid me didn't check if everything worked okay after. It was working fine before.

Now I turned it on when getting home and it looks like the airport doesn't work? The symbol in the top right has disappeared.

Could it be that he didn't put the cable for the airport back in fully? Please help :( thank you!

He could have prevent it to show on the top right corner. Go to system preferences and then click on Network and see...

It didnt show up in the network. I opened the MBP up and pushed the cable for the airport in a little bit further and it now works. Guessing the cable was a little loose.

It looked in, but I guess that little extra force to push it in helped seat it :D
