AirPort Connection different on 2 iBooks

I own two iBooks (last model, 12inch) and one gets full wireless internet connection wherever I move around the house whereas the other cannot even connect if it is not in the same room as the router.

I figure this is a hardware problem?

Are there any solutions I can try out? Both of the machines have the most updated OSX Tiger running. They're identical in every way.

Would appreciate some advice. Thanks!

been having problems with adding/editing to orignal posts so i just add another post:

just my guess. try changing channels on the wireless router, it could be interfering with other devices.
