Hello Everyone,
This is my first time posting here, I'm quite an experienced mac user. I've used them at college and have owned 2 Macbook pro's myself.
The first one became so faulty it had to be replaced by Apple after about 6 repairs.
The second one I am on is having 2 current faults, which are intermittent.
The first problem appears every 40 or so boot ups. This happens on AC Power and Battery.
When pushing the power button the power light shows. However the machine appears to do nothing. About 40 seconds or so later. The screen will power up and the machine will boot as normal. This occurred with my last laptop and was noted as a logic board error. This is really concerning me!!
The second issue, is in relation to my wifi. The wifi has been working for a good year and I have just purchased a new router. With no problems. I have the connection saved within the network settings. It has been working without virtually any fault for a few weeks. I do have other wifi adapters and these have had no issues at all.
At each bootup the mac is refusing to connect to the router. I have re-entered the settings numerous times. I was wondering if anyone else had experienced a similar kind of issue. When I do finally get it to connect and restart the mac, it will not connect again.
I am running Snow Leopard 10.6.2
I've not made any changes to the system that is likely to cause this issue. I believe at the moment it is a hardware issue.
Any comments or guidance on this issue would be much appreciated.
