Hello! I recently installed a new hard drive in my macbook with OS X 10.6.8 and ever since have had trouble connecting to my home wi-fi. It connects fine to other wi-fi networks, and the other computers at my home have no problem connecting.

When I go to the airport network window and try to connect, it says "Connection timeout". I've tried to manually install the router IP V 4 and IP V 6 addresses, also tried deleting system configurations folder, deleting and adding Airport, AND restarting the router. No avail. Help?

Go to System Preferences->Network pane and at the top of the pane will be 'Location'. Make a new custom named Location and save that new Location and then see if you can connect.
