I just got a new Mini Mac, it works great but when I try connecting to my wifi network with Airport Extreme I get the message "Connection Timeout". I tried rebooting the router and modem, along with alot of the solutions on the internet.
Does someone know a way to fix this.

How long has it been since you checked for a firmware update for the Extreme, and what security are you using?

So changing security to none still gives you a connection timeout? Maybe you should reset and reconfigure the Extreme from scratch...Do you have any neighbors that could be causing wireless interference? Look at the article I linked and see if any of them seem possible.

That was the problem, my wireless phone was interfering with the wifi, I disconnected it and my wifi was fine:)thanks

I need a valid IP Address

Hi,

Everyone is saying how they enter their IP address. Where did you get it?

My airport extreme light is green yet I have no internet connection. NO VALID IP ADDRESS. The address currently begins 169.

Can someone post a working address?

Thank you,

Kitty
