Airport Disk Sharing over Internet

Hey guys,

Two questions.

1.) I'd like to use my airport extreme to share an airport disk, but I have the airport set up just in "bridge" mode behind my actual WAN facing router. Do i need to forward ports from my WAN router to my airport extreme to share disks? And if so, what are the port numbers and are they TCP or UDP?

2.) Is sharing an airport disk over the internet secure? I know it will ask for a password, but is it unencrypted??
